The Soil is our Soul collection honors the origins of LOUIS XIII: the Grande Champagne terroir, Cognac’s Premier Cru, the 1st Cru of COgnac. Its chalk-rich soil offers eaux-de-vie a remarkable aromatic depth and extraordinary aging promise. Each piece in the collection is hand-finished, with artisans brushing away the outer glaze to reveal the raw, textured porcelain beneath, a tribute to the terroir’s iconic chalkiness. On the reverse, three rings echo the chestnut hoops of the LOUIS XIII's tierçons, guardians of the aging eaux-de-vie. The plate requires over 3 weeks of delicate crafting by porcelain artisans.
