Beijing, China –The first edition in a new collection that shares the adventures of LOUIS XIII and relives the great landmarks in its history was unveiled at a worldwide premiere in China held at the prestigious National Art Museum of China in Beijing. 100 privileged guests were invited to a VIP event to discover the origins of the historic cognac. Dubbed "The Origin – 1874", in tribute to the date when Paul-Émile Rémy-Martin created the first LOUIS XIII decanter, it marks the start of the LOUIS XIII journey. Inspired by the striking shape and regal fleur-de-lys medallions of a royal 16th-century flask that had fallen in a battlefield in Jarnac, near Cognac, Paul-Émile decided to design a decanter in its image to house a unique and precious cognac, a blend of his oldest eaux-de-vie. LOUIS XIII was born.
With each Time Collection edition set to tell a special chapter in this fascinating story, "The Origin – 1874" is the first of a thrilling series to covet and collect.
