The Eden Rock was built about 50 years ago by Remy de Haenen, the island's first Mayor and a much loved local eccentric, celebrated adventurer and skilled aviator. De Haenen choses to build his private home on the rocky promontory in St. Jean Bay, laying the foundations of what is today one of the most striking locations in the world.
"Imagine" from John Lennon. Indeed in one of our Ultraluxe Villa can be found the Neve mixing console on which John Lennon recorded his famous song. Furthermore, this song conveys similar values as Eden Rock – St Barths such as friendliness that we aim to have with our guests.
When I started my studies at the hotel school, I developed curiosity in tastes for both fine food and quality wines. I had the chance to discover epicurean pleasures and I even became fascinated by the complexity of wines and spirits.
In 2004 at the hotel Normandy in Deauville, just after I joined the property. I attended a tasting of the Louis XIII for the very first time and I immediately added as a reference in our wine list.

Fabrice Moizan is custodian of Eden Rock – St Barths since Septembre 2014. St Barths is, however, not new to Fabrice as he started his career on this little Island. With 20 years of management in international luxury hotels, he brought a wealth of experience to Eden Rock. Joining from Hôtel Fouquet's Barrière, Paris, with its world famous terrace on the Champs-Elysées, he held various managerial positions in the 3 Deauville hotels of the Groupe Lucien Barrière, all of them Leading Hotels of the World.
