CAN YOU TELL US A STORY, A FAMOUS ANECDOTE ABOUT THIS PLACE THAT MAKES IT UNIQUE?

Tattu is a venue with a unique story to tell. Inspired by the rich history of body art, Tattu takes customers on a journey designed to stimulate the senses, paying tribute to some of the most inspirational body artists and styles that have shaped the art form and its popularity today.

Each bespoke design detail has been carefully considered to provide a delicate balance of both masculine and feminine elements. The hand-tooled leather chairs, detailed rope work and suspended anchors depict the nautical influence of body artists such as Sailor Jerry, aka Norman Collins, in the venue's bar area. Moving upstairs, the oriental fretwork and four-meter tall cherry blossom tree create a beautiful ambience for diners in the restaurant, reflecting the influence of body art styles from the Far East.

Since opening in April 2015, within Manchester's cosmopolitan Spinningfields district, the venue has acquired a reputation for delivering exquisite contemporary Chinese cuisine and award-winning interior design.

HOW AND WHEN DID YOU FIRST DISCOVER LOUIS XIII?

We were introduced to the brand by ambassador, Brian Copeland. His passion for Louis XIII and his explanation of its legacy and the craft that goes into creating each bottle were principles that resonated deeply with Tattu.

There is definitely a strong alignment between the venue and Louis XIII so it's a real privilege for us to be working with such an esteemed brand as its latest fortress.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY ABOUT LOUIS XIII TO SOMEONE WHO HAS NEVER TASTED IT?

I can honestly say that it is remarkable. It's hard to describe accurately the complexity of the flavour, but it really does evoke an emotional response. As a consumable product, tasting Louis XIII is one of the most unique and enjoyable experiences I've ever had.

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST DREAM IN LIFE?

When Tattu began, I knew it would be the start of an exciting journey. My dream is to create a credible and internationally recognised brand that champions individuality to deliver a cutting edge concept to the market, one that excites all senses and delivers a conceptually unique personal experience.
